Field Archery on the Gold Coast

Pacific Bowmen members practice both Field Archery and Bowhunting. Our club membership is made up of a mix of young and old, male and female with a common interest and varying levels of skill with the bow and arrow, and each and every one of them will assist you in learning more about our fantastic sport.

Our club enjoys a friendly atmosphere and is now over 40 years old being established in 1982. Social events include the whole family in a safe environment. Pacific Bowmen is a fully affiliated member of the Australian Bowhunters Association (ABA) the national body for our form of archery in Australia

Information

Come and try tuesdays

At 4 pm on Tuesdays come and visit our club (weather permitting). No booking, experience or equipment necessary. We have club equipment available to get you shooting in no time. There is no cost (a gold coin donation is appreciated), no obligation and you will remain safe under the guidance of our club coaches.

Clubhouse

Our clubhouse is located in beautiful bushland surroundings beside King's College on Gemvale Rd Mudgeeraba. It is at the top of an unsealed road and while a four wheel drive is not required, it is subjected to changes due to weather. If you have a low vehicle you are able to park on the grass at our entry and take the short walk to our clubhouse.

Age Limits

As a general rule it is 9 years of age minimum. However this can be evaluated on a case-by-case basis dependent on physical ability. If you are physically capable to participate and the coach/es confirms you are, then you are more than welcome to participate. If, as a parent or guardian you have young children that wish to participate in the sport a club requirement is that you be in attendance until at least they have been assessed as competent to shoot on the ranges. We fully encourage parental participation and involvement in the activities of the club, in support of their children.

Coaching day

If you would like to Join us as a member, a requirement is taking part in a Coaching Day to prove safety and competency. This costs $60 and it is generally held the Saturday before each club shoot. For bookings please contact our Club Head Coach Graham on 0414 503 769
